General Posting Rules 1. Respect one another Self explanitory. If you can't follow this, then you don't belong here. 2. No Profanity Except in Aggression. Not a big deal here it seems, but let's just keep in check. Currently the swear word filter is turned off, but if profanity becomes a problem, we will activate it and issue warnings to offenders. 3. No Sticky Shift If we have to decipher it, then we won't want to read it, not matter how appropriate the post may be. 4. Try to stay on Topic Conversations happen. We know, but that's why there's a chatroom. Please keep to the heart of the discussion. If you want to start in a different direction, you're more than welcome to start a new thread 5. Post appropriately Post your threads in the right forum. not hard to do. also, the edit button is your friend. 6. No Flaming or Spamming Bjunkyard is not a forum where you go spouting off at the mouth. You don't have to like someone, but you still need to respect them. There is bound to be some controversy over certain issues, but regardless of what's written, keep your cool. It's easy to rage away, but if you have the urge to yell at someone, don't write it. It's not worth the aggravation. If you REALLY aren't happy with something said or someone in particular, then tell the mods or admins. 7. The mods and admins are your friends. Respect them as such The mods and admins are here to help make this place fun for everyone. Please repsect their position. They have reasons for their actions here. Because of that, please take what they say into consideration, especially if it pertains to conduct or the rules. Gallery Rules 1. No NUDITY allowed. No exceptions. Any blatant uploads of the sort can result in temp bans. Repeat offenders will be permenantly banned. 2. All forum rules still apply. Meaning, no flaming, nothing too lewd, and be tactful. 3. Moderators and Admins still have full control so please don't abuse the features. 4. Relevent pictures only here. If its' just a funny picture you want to share, then post it in the forums. Signature Rules 1. Must be in good taste. No porn. No nudity.. nothing you believe that can be questionable. 2. Size: let's keep the sizes down to it's minimum.. we really don't need to see your signature cover half of our open browser windows.. we'd rather see the thread itself. I'm not going to speculate a particular size right now, but i recommend something in the mist of: Recommended: 468x100 Maximum: 500x150 We will make exceptions for pictures of the opposite dimension (length higher than width) such as 200x350 or so.. but again.. it should be in good taste and not fill up a crap load of space just per your signature 3. Animation: Make the animation in good taste as well.. if it's a GIF that flashes and is very disturbing to the eye.. don't use it. 4. Pictures: Do not overdo it with pictures. You can photochop your images into one banner instead of having 4 multiple pictures. 5. Links: We are not free ad space. Do not link commercial websites unless authorized by a moderator. Do not link to similar forums like bjunkyard. If you need some exposure - "Check out this Site" Forum was made particularly for you. Go there and post it. 6. Text: Keep the number of lines of text to a minimum, or at least within the defined dimensions. If you want to fit more lines of text, then use the font size code to make the text smaller. Multimedia Forum Rules 1. Do not spread the yousendit links Those links are intended only for members of bjunkyard. Megaupload, rapidshare, streamload, clubbox, etc. those are more permenant so those I don't care about. But specifically yousendit links expire rather quickly, so don't spread those around, please. 2. Requests in the Requests Forum ONLY!! I know more people come into the Multimedia forum, but I split it up for a reason. I want requests in a central location so all members can see what others are requesting. Also, don't make a request within some random thread or in the thread of another file thread. I sincerely doubt anyone will read it. Best to just make a new thread in the REQUESTS forum. 3. Do NOT PM me asking for reuploads I've been getting many of them lately and I'm rather sick of it. Also, many of those fail to include a simple "please" or "thanks". Common courtesy for those providing a free service would be simple gratitude. Ingrates just suck. If you are asking for a reupload, please do so in the REQUESTS forum. 4. The "lock" hack is usable to anyone So for those links which are hidden only to be viewed by those who reply are hidden for a reason. generally, they are yousendit links that i wish to protect and serve only to bjunkyard members. When replying to a thread with hidden text, a simple "thank you" will suffice. For those of you who complain about it, i guess typing "thank you" is too much for you. you shouldn't be here then. 5. No Complaining The files are provided by the generosity of others. I am trying to find a way to keep links up and secure in a more permenant location. This is proving difficult. In the meantime, please don't complain about dead links or slow servers. I'm doing the best with what I have. Also, many links i post up come from Korean servers so i have no control over whether they go down or not. 6. When Posting a file, please have meaningful titles The more information, the better. Artist, song title, file size. that should be the minimum. I'm not asking for loads of information such as encoding, date it was recorded or performed, but it could never hurt. Please use the prefix key (listed below). 7. Do NOT block yousendit links Some assholes have been doing that to some of the files. Don't be an asshole. That's part of the reason why i've been employing the lock tags. Legend Just to clarify my abbreviations when I post and I'd like for you to use when posting links: [Perf] = Performance Video. some live performance of some kind [MV] = Music Video. so the actual music video [PV] = Same as MV but usually used for Japanese videos [CF] = Commercial Film. Commercials of some sort [Clip] = News clips or something that doesnt' fall into the above categories. [MP3] = mp3s... duh! :D Request Forum Rules 1. Informative title to your requests no requests with titles like "my request....". please put the following information: a. type of requests (ie. [MV] [MP3] [Perf] etc.) b. Name of singer/group c. Name of song/ album that is the minimum amount of info for the title. extra info INSIDE the thread. 2. Reply to threads only to support the request in other words, by replying, you are adding weight to the request. the more requests for a particular file will mean that it will get higher priority. so more replies should mean that more people want that file, thus should get more priority. 3. A little courtesy goes a long way People requesting in such a way like "i really really really want this file" won't get quite the response without the proper words. a simple please and thank you goes a long way. 4. Fulfilled requests go into the MULTIMEDIA forum this forum is just for requests. if you've fulfilled a request for someone. please post it in the Multimedia forum so that we don't have stranded file links in request threads. 5. Do NOT send me a PM if your request has not been filled. I don't have every single file out there. I do collect, but there are some singers and groups that i will never collect (such as Dong Bang Shin Ki) so i don't always have everything. I will make the effort to find certain things, but again, my resources are limited. I'm also getting tired of people not reading the rules. 6. Use the SEARCH feature before posting a request. There are threads out there with plenty of files in them. please make sure you search first and check that the file hasn't been posted or that the links are dead before you make your requests. Bittorrent Rules Download Rules 1. You must maintain a share ratio of at LEAST 0.50. Preferably 1.00 If you drop below this ratio, then you will be warned. If within ONE WEEK, your ratio has not increased, then you will be IP banned. If you have extenuating circumstances, then PM privately, but everyone should be able to upload at least as much as you download. If you're curious about your ratio, then check your profile or click on the Member List and find your screenname. It'll have it listed there for you. 2. You will NOT be able to download unless you are a registered member of the forums The site tracks your IP address which you registered with. Therefore, guests will NOT be able to download from torrents here (or the torrent files in general for that matter). Whether the tracker can identify multiple IP addresses for the same user (someone using different computers, possibly), I haven't checked that out, but I will and adjust this rule as i see fit. Because you must be a registered member, I don't see why the torrents should not be distributed to other torrent listing sites, but make sure to mention that they must be registered to the forums if they wish to download. 3. Requests for Re-seeds can be made within the torrent thread itself Requests for full reuploads must be in the Requests forum, but for torrents, requesting reseeds should be put in the thread itself. Upload Rules 1. NO US copyrighted material. NO EXCEPTION!! Simple. This is a US based site which means, I want to avoid any problems with lawyers. This is also an ASIAN music site. Please try to keep all content within those means. If your torrent is deleted, there is a reason for it. Even though you may not use bjunkyard as the tracker, do NOT put torrents up with copyrighted material from the US. 2. You CAN upload torrents that do not use bjunkyard as the tracker BUT only if the other sites allow Bjunkyard now has the ability to have torrents from other sites as well as those that use bjunkyard as the tracker. Torrents from external trackers do not affect your share ratio here, however. So if you need to boost your share ratio, then you must seed for files that use bjunkyard as the tracker. 3. If you use bjunkyard as a tracker, then you must be able to seed for an appropriate amount of time to allow others to get the full file Appropriate time would be in the range of 24 hours or so. 4. When posting a new torrent, put as much info in the thread title as you can Same as the Multimedia area. Please use a prefix so we know what to expect ([MP3], [MV], etc). The artist, show name, whatever. Just don't have a thread that gives little to no information about the torrent.
